Yes, it is true, I am up in Alaska working for a company called EMC Engineering. They contract with the state of Alaska on several jobs around the state. The one I am working on is up in Northway, Ak. there is literally nothing up here. There is an airport that was originally built during WWII as a staging point for Russia. It is used now as a customs checkpoint for planes coming in from Canada. A few years ago there was an earthquake up here that damaged the airport. They have torn up the old runway and are currently in the process of builing a new one which will be a 2 year project. My job is to take densities of each layer as they build. It is built in 4 layers. I also have to take random samples of the material they are using to make sure it will support the airplanes that will land here. I work six 12 hours shifts, which isn't too bad. I have included a picture of the view I get to look at from the office of my lab.

Life In the great North

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON!!!!
Jeremy and I went and bought the kids' birthday stuff before he left. Cameron has been dieing for a 2-wheeled scooter as he has outgrown his 3-wheeled one. Here is a video/picture of his first ride.
Here is a little video of Alexander walking outside on the rocks as Cameron scootered around. He LOVES to be outside...it was too hot to stay out long and he threw a fit going back in.
Cameron wanted to have dinner at McDonald's with my sister (and boyfriend)and Conner, then we tried to go bowling at a place called Bedrocks, but they wanted me to pay $10 per person even the kids. Holy Cow that is NUTS!!...granted that was for 2 hours of bowling and shoes but we would have been barely able to make it through 1o frames let alone 2 hours of bowling, so we let the kids play some games and pick out some prizes. Then we headed home in time for Jeremy to give us a call on the computer and Cameron opened up my sisters presents with Jeremy watching via web cam. Conner is now spending the night with him. Party all night long here!!!!
Overall a good birthday I cant believe how fast 5 years has gone by for my first baby.

First Day of School
So Cameron started Kindergarten this year. I was so excited but sad at the same time because it meant that he is growing up. Terrilyn is doing her first year of preschool 2 days a week in the mornings. Here are some pictures taken Monday Aug. 4. The one of Cameron in his class is with his buddy Gabe who was in preschool with him last year. It was sooo hot and muggy that morning and we walked to school because parking the first day is INSANE so he was a bit hot and sweaty not really sad. Jeremy took Terrilyn her first morning and she has a couple of little girlfriends in there with her so she went right in put her back pack in her cubby and said "bye dad" and waved him away. Such a big girl.
Lemon #4
Jeremy in Alaska!!! Crazy!!

It's been FOREVER since my last post....
I know that it has been awhile since I have posted but I do have excuses. I had two classes that I needed to finish before Sept to renew my teaching certificate. I know talk about waiting until the last minute I have had 5 years to take 6 credits and I have left it down to the wire. Timing has never been good, we have either just moved, gotten prego(and was super sick), just had a baby and not to metnion the $$ it takes to take 6 credits it's not like we have had the extra moola laying around. So I told my self the only thing I could do on the computer was finish those up no playing around. Needless to say house was left to fend for itself but my kids have survived I am done and I got an A and a B. YEAHH!!!! Now maybe life will be back to normal.
