The Old Pueblo in December

It seems that it is time to post again. So, here it goes. Christmas in Tucson is a little bit different then it is in the rest of the country. For example, we can play 18 holes on Christmas Day. We can also enjoy a dip in the pool. This Christmas however, is a little different. The average temperature has been in the low 50's which makes the trip to the pool a little chilly but still perfect golfing weather. The other thing that makes Tucson different is that instead of putting lights on trees, they decorate their cacti, which is the weirdest thing to see. We are plugging away, there is a neighborhood here in Tucson that is famous for their Christmas lights. If you have the chance to google winterhaven, do it. It is fun to walk through every year. For those who are curious, there is almost a foot of snow on Mt. Lemmon (that is not a spelling error, that is how they spell it). We are sending out Christmas letters, so I don't want to steal any of the thunder from that. We hope all of you are doing well and have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

First posting

Nathan mentioned that starting a family blog would be a good idea. It would help us all stay up to speed on what's happening in each others lives. So, as the oldest...I thought I would start it off.

Things down here in the Old Pueblo(thats what the natives call Tucson) are going good. I am now General Manager of Hungry Howies Pizza, which is both a fun and tiresome job. Dealing with a staff of high school kids can be quite daunting. I spend most of my time there, and when I'm not, I am at home keeping Cameron and Terrilyn entertained. Cameron is in Pre-school 3 days a week, and seems to like it. According to him, he has several "girl" friends. He is really into Transformers, which is really fun for me cause it reminds me of my childhood. Terrilyn, just loves to run up and give everyone hugs. But at the same time, she nows how to get her brother into trouble. Both of them love to play with Alexander. He is getting bigger and bigger every day. I am sure that those of you who have multiple children can tell, that there are definite personality differences between all of the children. Alexander seems to have just a easygoing attitude. He smiles at just about everything. Mandi is enjoying the opportunity to stay home with the kids and to have time to spend on her church calling. She is the mid week activities coordinator, so she comes up with some really fun things for all of the sisters in the ward. Ok, now its your turn to post something...I hope that this helps us all to stay in touch...and aware of what's going on in each others lives.
