We Made It!!!

Thank you to all that helped get us on our way :) We loaded the truck Friday morning (and thanks to someone who worked for UPS in college everything made it safely in the truck with room to spare)
We have arrived safe and sound not without its hangups of course.
Jeremy took off in the uhaul hauling his car with Cameron and Terrilyn around 8am hoping to make it here by 5pm so he could unload with daylight. I was left cleaning up those last bit of things and loading the van with what was left in the house. My neighbor had Alexander and Seamus while I finished up. I had just put the last of the stuff in the car including my purse and keys and threw Chewy in and shut the door so he wouldn't get out while I shut up the house and as I walked away from the van I heard "click" meaning that the car had just locked itself. It was around 9:45am and it was supposed to get to 100 degrees. A different neighbor was out trimming his bushes and is a bit of a car wiz so I asked him if he could help but after about 10 min. it was clear he wasn't going to be able to do anything. I called the insurance company to send out a locksmith...they told me to expect someone in 45 min(seriously there is a dog locked in the car), I called the locksmith to let them know that there was a dog locked in there, they assured me that they were aware and someone was to be there ASAP. An HOUR later he turned up and in less then 5 min unlocked the car(and mentions "they didn't tell me there was a dog locked in there(I verified this 3 times hellooo people). So I pick up the kiddos and didn't get on my way till 11:30 and I still have 3 huge trash bags that I was planning on dropping off at Goodwill on my way out of town and needed to get to the post office. Needless to say Jeremy is now way ahead of me with no chance of catching up like the plan was.
Well Jeremy made it all the way to the Hoover Dam checkpoint and they tell him that he can't go over the damn with the truck hauling the car and he needs to backtrack almost an hour to take the cut off to Laughlin.
So it turns out that in the end I beat Jeremy by about 5 min and we arrived just after 7pm. 4 of Jeremy's new coworkers came over and had us unloaded in about an hour and a half.
Now I am living in what seems to be a never ending sea of boxes that needs homes somewhere. Cameron started school today and was really excited (it was also crazy hair day). My washer and dryer will be delivered this morning and I have MOUNTAINS of laundry to do. Jeremy starts work bright and early at 7am tomorrow...life is slowly starting to get back to normal pace.
Maybe.

MOVING

So for those of you that don't know we are moving to Henderson Nevada. Jeremy got a great job opportunity and we took it. Now we are just dealing with the logistics of moving 4 kids(we are CRAZY!!!) the computer is getting taken down tonight and will hopefully be up and running Monday night. To top this all off I had some super cute video of Seamus that I am having problems uploading to this new computer so hopefully I will get it figured out. See you all in Vegas :)

I just posted 4 long posts so be sure to read down to Cameron's Birthday. Sorry trying to figure out the programs on new computer. :) Enjoy

Mt Lemmon

Cameron had Monday off so we decided to get out of the house for a while and Drove up to Mt Lemmon. We picnicked and hiked around for the afternoon. The weather was perfect!

The kids were going crazy finding colored bb's. We walked up this dry creek bed for a while finding them.I couldn't get over how cool this bark looked...so smooth and chocolaty.
One of the lookout spots that you can pull over to has a bunch of rock outcroppings that you can climb around on.This tree was so cool looking. About 7 years ago(I think) there was a big fire on Mt Lemmon but I wonder if this tree encountered it or if its just cool on its own.
Believe it or not it does snow hear in Tucson and when Mt Lemmon gets enough you can go skiing and their icon is a snow capped lemon so of course we Lemon's get a picture taken by this sign every time we go up.

Self Haircuts

The other day I went out and left Jeremy with the kids and came home to this
"Jeremy who cut Alexander's hair?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Look at him"
"Alexander who cut your hair?"(he is a bit groggy he just woke up from his nap) We just get a blank stare.
"Terrilyn who cut Alex' hair?"
"I don't' know?"
At this point we are walking all over the house trying to think of where this hair cutting took place and trying to find the scissors that did the cutting.
Terrilyn retrieves the scissors for us but it takes a bit to find where...finally I look behind Jeremy's lazy-boy and there is a pile of hair(now why didn't I think to take a picture like Tara did although the floor didn't quite look the same as hers)
In finding the pile of hair I see that there is also some Terrilyn hair on the floor...luckily hers isn't as noticeable and I was able to shape hers and with her wavy hair you really have to look close to see it.
Kids...my mom on the other hand just laughed at me when I told her because I did the same thing when I was young only she had to take me in and get my hair fixed and it was short for a while. At least its hair and it grows back...but I really miss Alexanders curls. :(

Terrilyn's 4th Birthday

For Terrilyn's birthday this year we did a little princess tea party. We invited over some of her friends to come dressed as princesses. We ate star shaped pb&j with red koolaid and then we decorated little pink cupcakes. Whats a princess with out her crown? The girls decorated some paper crowns with stickers and glitter glue and jewels. They had a great time!! Terrilyn got the Snow White gown as part of her gifts from mom and dad...the little pink dress my mom bought for Terrilyn(well I found it for her on ebay).
